At Office Interiors, we love our partners! We recently sat down with one of them: Scott Swanson, who is the Manager at Superior Flooring in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Scott plays a key role at Superior Flooring and their inner workings delivering success to clients on every project, but we’ll let Scott do the talking. Join us as we highlight Scott, Superior Flooring, and the great work they do!
Could you describe your role at Superior Flooring?
I oversee several aspects of the business, including bidding, operations, office management. I also assist with flooring installations if I’m needed.
My career in the flooring industry began as a short-term opportunity, but I realized the potential and satisfaction it offers. I got to see the transformation flooring brings to spaces and the joy it brings to customers. That really inspired me to pursue a career in the field.
What is the origin of Superior Flooring’s partnership with Office Interiors?
In 2009, when Office Interiors reached out to us for a project called Hospice, they required our expertise in welded vinyl flooring. Our work on this project exceeded their expectations, and that led to our continued partnership. As we collaborated on more projects together, we became Office Interiors' exclusive flooring partner. This was driven by our shared commitment to providing quality work and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
What is your favorite aspect of working at Superior Flooring?
My favorite aspect of working at Superior Flooring is the opportunity to create something better each day. Whether it's finding innovative solutions to flooring challenges, improving our processes and techniques, or exceeding customer expectations, there is always room for growth and improvement in our work.
Could you tell us about a memorable project?
One memorable project I was involved in was the installation of a 3D Octagon tiled wall at Press Ganey. The project turned out exceptionally well, and Press Ganey was subsequently nominated for Building of the Year by Majority Builders. It was a great honor to be part of such a notable achievement!
Outside of work, what are some hobbies or interests that you enjoy pursuing?
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly supporting my children's interests and sports activities. I also love playing golf and engaging in shooting sports. Staying fit and active is important to me. I also enjoy working on my property to make it more self-sustainable for the future.
